SPEAKERS:  Patti DuBois and Amy Stoklas-Oakes

TOPIC:  LabForce – Supporting Arizona’s Talent Demands in Bio and Life Science Companies

ABSTRACT:   Building upon its success as a bioscience and technology incubator, CEI is now launching a state-wide workforce development initiative to serve bio and life science companies.  In this presentation the program leaders, Tom Schumann and Amy Stoklas-Oakes, will talk about the vision and potential impact of this project to address the talent pipeline needs of AZ.  The presenters are looking for ASQ input to help plan and design a curriculum that would support industry needs.

BIO:  Patti DuBois owned three businesses and has been advising other businesses in generating growth and profit for over a decade. Her skills lie in strategic planning, building effective business infrastructures, and management. She is also known as someone who is a great executor and as a connector using her network to help those clients she supports.

Patti works with the CEI clients at the state-of-the-art, award-winning business incubator on the GateWay Community College through hands on support, supplying resources and timely access to subject matter experts. CEI clients are commercializing bio and life science, high tech, medical device and green technologies.

Amy Stoklas-Oakes is a medical device specialist with over 25 years’ experience in industry at companies like Boston Scientific, West Pharmaceuticals and Stryker.  She has a passion for helping small start-ups achieve quality and regulatory compliance in a cost-efficient manner to grow their business
